Recuerdos de Barcelona
A continuación se recogen las fotos, gelatino bromuro sobre papel grueso, que componen un álbum con vistas de Barcelona. Las fotos están muy bien conservadas.
Los álbumes de fotos como recuerdo de ciudades se pusieron de moda a finales del siglo XIX como recuerdo de los primeros viajes turísticos.
Estas fotografías antiguas se pueden fechar en el primer tercio del siglo XX en la época de la Exposición Universal. Sin embargo cabe pensar que las fotos son anteriores a dicha fecha pues no recogen ningún pabellón de dicha exposición que tuvo lugar en 1929. Las podemos fechar entorno a 1915-20, puesto que la Exposición Universal empezó a construirse en 1917 y se acabó en 1923 y cambió totalmente la ciudad.
Las fotos están recogidas en un álbum con la indicación a pie de foto del lugar fotografiado.
Llevan una curiosa firma del fotógrafo pues consiste en su nombre Oriol y un pájaro llamado oropéndola. Oriol es el nombre en catalán de dicho pájaro.

The following are photos, gelatin bromide on thick paper, making up an album with views of Barcelona. The photos are very well preserved.
Photo albums and memories of cities became fashionable in the late nineteenth century as a souvenir for the first tourist trips.
These old photographs can be dated in the first third of the twentieth century at the time of the Universal Exhibition. But it is conceivable that the photos are from before that date do not include any flag because of the exhibition held in 1929. The can date around 1915-1920, since the Expo building started in 1917 and ended in 1923 and completely changed the city.
The photos are collected in an album with caption indication of the place photographed.
They signed a curious photographer because his name is Oriol and a bird called oriole. Oriol is the Catalan name of that bird.
